Privacy Policy

GeoTag Camera (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a camera app that stamps photos with the place and time they were taken. This policy describes exactly what the app sends off your device, what it does not, and why.
What never leaves your device
- Your photos. Capturing, stamping and saving all happen on the device. Finished photos are written to your own photo library. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- The street address on the stamp. It is resolved by the geocoder built into your operating system, on the device. We do not run that lookup on a server and never receive the resulting address.
- Your settings. Overlay template, theme and similar preferences are stored locally.
What the app sends us

Advertising
The app includes the Google AdMob advertising SDK. At the time of writing ads are switched off, and while they are off the SDK is not started and collects nothing.
If ads are turned on in future, the app requests non-personalized ads only. That instructs Google not to use the advertising identifier to build a profile of you across apps. Google may still process device and diagnostic information in order to serve and measure those ads; that processing is covered by Google’s policy. The app does not ask for permission to track you and does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Who else processes this data
- Our hosting provider — stores the data listed above on our behalf.
- A mapping provider — produces the map image from the approximate location.
- Google — delivers notifications if you allow them, and serves ads if and when ads are enabled.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera — to take the photo. Required.
- Location, while using the app — to stamp the photo. The app does not track your location in the background.
- Add to photo library — to save the finished photo. The app cannot read your existing photos.
- Notifications — optional; declining changes nothing else.
Retention and your choices
- Daily counts and the installation record are kept while the app stays in use, and are removed once an installation stops appearing.
- Deleting the app ends collection. Reinstalling creates a new random installation ID, so the old record can no longer be connected to you.
- You can revoke camera, location or notification permission at any time in system settings.

Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If what the app collects changes, this page is updated before or alongside the release that changes it, and the “last updated” date above moves.
